Nadeem ul Haque

Dr. Nadeem Ul Haque is among the most prominent Pakistani economist and policy expert. He has made unparalleled contributions to the fields of economic policy, institutional reform, and growth in Pakistan. He has worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in various senior positions, served as the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of Pakistan, and also held the position of Vice-Chancellor at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). 

Dr. Haque is a strong advocate for economic reform in Pakistan, particularly focusing on governance, institutional restructuring, and urban policy. He is vocal about the need for innovation, entrepreneurship, and structural reforms in Pakistan’s economy to ensure growth and development. Dr. Haque’s ideas often challenge traditional approaches to policymaking in Pakistan, advocating for more data-driven and evidence-based decision-making. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
